I LOVE salted caramel - literally anything salted caramel is probably one of my go-to flavours when I'm craving a really indulgent sweet treat. So, of course making these bliss balls is always at the top of my priority list! In fact, these are on par with my chocolate hazelnut bliss balls when those sweet cravings hit.

These are gluten-free, dairy-free and refined sugar free too. They also contain healthy carbohydrate, protein and fat sources which make them a perfect snack for that mid-afternoon slump, after a training session, if your craving something sweet (& salty!) or if you simply want to bump up your dessert game!

Remember if you make these then please tell me how you got on and tag me in a photo on my instagram @heruniqueglow.

METHOD:

  1. Soak the dates in some hot water for 10 minutes to soften them.
  2. In a food processor blend the oats and ground almonds together until the oats have created a fine powdery texture.
  3. Spoon the dates out of the water and add them to the food processor and blend. Leave the water to one side.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients to the food processor and blend together until combined and smooth. If the mixture is still looking a bit dry then add in 1teaspoon of the date water at a time. Blend in between each teaspoon to make sure the mixture doesn't become too runny.
  5. Once the mixture binds together roll it into 10 balls and enjoy! Store them in an air-tight container in the fridge.
